Brian Richardson

EVP, Chief Transformation Officer at Covia

Mr. Richardson serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer of Covia. In this capacity, he responsible for driving fundamental organizational change including the commercialization of new ideas, harnessing growth initiatives, and moving these growth initiatives forward effectively and efficiently. He previously served as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer responsible for Human Resources, Information Technology, Risk Management, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development functions. Prior to the establishment of Covia, Mr. Richardson served as EVP, Chief People Officer at Fairmount Santrol from 2015 to 2018. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Richardson was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Global Finishes Group of The Sherwin-Williams Company. Mr. Richardson received a B.A. in Finance from Baldwin Wallace University and M.B.A. from The Ohio State University. Mr. Richardson serves on the National Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association as Vice Chairman, Chair of the Compensation Committee and Member of the Executive Committee. Locally, he serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Cleveland, where he is Chair of the Human Resources Committee and Member of the Executive Committee.
