Jessica Bordelon Bliss

Jessica Bordelon Bliss is the Director of Finance and Operations at Harriet Tubman Charter School. Jessica is currently in her tenth year at Harriet Tubman, previously serving as Chief of Staff where she coordinated the hiring process, managed logistics and events, and ensured the smooth running of the school and its programs. She brings to Tubman several years of nonprofit leadership and management experience. Prior to joining the founding staff in 2011, Jessica served as the Program Manager for The New Teacher Project’s RSD Staffing Initiatives contract. There, she supported 15 direct-run principals in hiring their staff, and managed human capital work for the contract. Previously, Jessica worked for Big Brother Big Sisters as the manager of Match Support, placing young people with their mentors and keeping track of the mentor-mentee relationship. A native New Orleanian, Jessica holds a BA from the University of Southern Mississippi in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus in Nonprofit Leadership from University of New Orleans.
