Bill Rudnick

Bill Rudnick serves on Cresset’s senior leadership team as Senior Partner and General Counsel. Bill began working with Cresset as outside counsel in 2017.

Bill has decades of experience counseling and representing entrepreneurial clients and advising on legal and business matters, including growth strategy, corporate and family governance, strategic planning, succession planning, and technology. Martindale-Hubbell has rated him AV, its highest ranking and he is also regularly named to The Best Lawyers in America.¹ In addition, Bill has received the Executive Leader Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Founder Award from the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the Civic Leadership Award from Streetwise.

Bill dedicates much of his time to civic and charitable endeavors, and helps lead Cresset’s philanthropic initiatives. Bill has been active in food banking for three decades, chairing the boards of directors of The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Feeding America, and The Global FoodBanking Network, which he co-founded. Bill is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and YPO Gold.

Bill received his BA, cum laude, in Philosophy from Tufts University; he received his JD from the Pritzker School of Law, Northwestern University; and he received his MBA, with honors, from the Booth School of Management, The University of Chicago.
