Crest Nicholson

Alex has worked for some of the largest UK developers and holds over 15 years’ experience in the industry. He has extensive experience in both UK house building as well as high rise developments and has managed some of the largest regeneration projects in the city. Alex has an in-depth knowledge of sales, selling through multi channels in the UK and expanding into overseas markets. He joined Crest Nicholson as Managing Director for Eastern in January 2020 to grow and expand the Division, now he looks forward to continuing this with the expansion of the East Anglia Division.

Alex Stark

David has over 20 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and held operational leadership roles including Land & Planning Director, Technical Director and Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey and Berkeley Group prior to joining Crest Nicholson. Land and Planning is at the core of David’s skill set, having led the acquisition and delivery of many and varied schemes throughout the South, Midlands and London, since joining Westbury Homes as a Graduate Trainee. A detailed understanding of wider housebuilding processes, opportunities and challenges allows him to effectively lead his Teams. David joined Crest Nicholson as Managing Director in January 2020 and is currently responsible for the South and Yorkshire Divisions.

David Brown

Duncan Cooper is the Group Finance Director at [Crest Nicholson](/org/crest-nicholson). Duncan has over 18 years of experience in finance and has previously worked as the Director of Group Finance at [Sainsbury's](/org/sainsburys), Financial Controller at BSkyB, and Senior Finance Manager at GlaxoSmithKline. Duncan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and started their career at [Deloitte](/org/deloitte) in 2001.

Duncan Cooper has a degree in Management Sciences from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Duncan is also a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Duncan has completed the Next Gen CFO Programme at [Deloitte](/org/deloitte).

Some of their coworkers include David Marchant - Group Production Director, Kevin Maguire - General Counsel & Company Secretary, and Jane Cookson - Group HR Director. Their manager is Peter Truscott, Chief Executive.

Duncan Cooper

Kieran is a qualified solicitor who has worked with some of the country’s largest developers and has a passion for the built environment. Kieran joined Crest Nicholson in January 2020 to set up the Crest Nicholson Partnerships and Strategic Land Division to develop further the multi channel and multi tenure capability which provides additional production and points of sale. Kieran has experience in significant land acquisitions, having taken a lead on some of the larger transactions in the housebuilding industry within recent years. Kieran leads our Crest Nicholson Partnerships and Strategic Land Division as well as overseeing our South West Division.

Kieran Daya

Jane Cookson is the current Group HR Director at [Crest Nicholson](/org/crest-nicholson). Jane previously worked as an HR Advisor at The Berkeley Group from January 2001 to January 2002.

Jane Cookson

David has over 35 years’ construction and housebuilding industry experience in design and leadership roles. He was previously a Group Director of Bellway plc where he was responsible for Group design, technical, R&D, procurement, commercial and quality strategies. Prior to that David spent 25 years in engineering design practice as a structural engineer and at National House Building Council (NHBC). At NHBC he was a Director of their Approved Inspector business. David is a structural engineer and chartered builder.

David Marchant

David is currently Chief Financial Officer of Grafton Group plc, he joined Grafton in September 2013. He was previously Group Finance Director of Enterprise plc, the UK maintenance and support services business, from 2010 to 2013 and Group Finance Director of Redrow plc, from 2003 to 2010. David has previously held senior financial positions with Six Continents plc, the hotels and hospitality group and Tarmac plc, the building materials company.

David Arnold

Kevin joined the Group in March 2008 and became Company Secretary in January 2009. Since joining [Crest Nicholson](/org/crest-nicholson), Kevin has been involved in a range of significant corporate transactions. Having a legal background, he is a Chartered Secretary and previously held roles in retail, pensions and technology.

Leslie has a very wide range of international senior management business experience. He is a non-executive director and Chairman of the Remuneration committee and Senior Independent Director of DCC, non-executive Chairman of Robert Walters plc and is a former Chief Executive Officer of Rexam plc, having held the role of Chairman at SIG plc and Weener Plastick Gmbh.

Leslie Van De Walle

Lucinda is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience in real estate. She was CFO of The [British Land](/org/british-land) Company PLC (“British Land”) from May 2011 to January 2018 and prior to that held a range of roles in finance and tax at [British Land](/org/british-land). Lucinda is also a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee at manufacturing group Rotork plc.

Lucinda Bell

Louise joined [Crest Nicholson](/org/crest-nicholson) in June 2017 as an independent non-executive member of a newly formed Technical Committee focusing on technical aspects of the build process and the benefits which could be introduced by greater use of standard house types and off-site manufacturing and now formally joins the Board. Louise is a civil engineer bringing a wealth of project management, technical and engineering experience, including delivering of complex infrastructure projects. Louise is currently a non-executive director of Sirius Minerals plc and a non-executive director of the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation.

Louise Hardy

Octavia has extensive experience in senior operational and non-executive roles in retail and multi-site companies, both privately owned and publically listed. Having worked at companies, including Asda Stores Ltd, Laura Ashley plc and Woolworths plc, Octavia has most recently been CEO then Chair at LighterLife UK Ltd, Managing Director at Crew Clothing Co and Chief Executive at OKA Direct Limited. Having served as non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at John Menzies plc, Octavia holds current non-executive director appointments at Card Factory plc (Senior Independent Director), Ascensos Ltd (Non-Executive Director) and Spicers-Office Team Group Ltd (Chair).

Octavia Morley

The current leadership team at Crest Nicholson has a wide range of experience in both the public and private sector, as well as a variety of educational backgrounds. This gives them a well-rounded perspective when it comes to making decisions for the company. A few notable places where members of the team have worked include Sainsbury's, BSkyB, GlaxoSmithKline, and Deloitte. In terms of education, the team is composed of individuals who have studied at ICAEW and other respected institutions. This diversity of experience and knowledge allows the team to make informed decisions that will help Crest Nicholson continue to be a successful company.
