Elena Sipola

Elena Sipola is a skilled project officer specializing in Sub-Saharan Africa at CMI — Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation since January 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Attaché and Political Officer at the European External Action Service from September 2019 to September 2021, focusing on the political section of the EU Delegation to Ghana. Elena contributed to middle eastern affairs as a writer for The Ulkopolitist from August 2017 to July 2020. Notable previous roles include a trainee position at the EU Delegation to Egypt, a researcher for Green Advocates, and internships at the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon.
