John Martin

Head of Government Affairs at CRISPR Therapeutics

Mr. John Martin brings extensive experience operating at the interface of healthcare and policy to CRISPR Therapeutics. John most recently served as the Principal Associate Commissioner for Legislative Affairs at the FDA under Commissioner Scott Gottlieb. In this role John was responsible for advising the Commissioner and key agency leadership on legislative initiatives, pending legislation and oversight activities affecting the FDA across a broad range of issues. Prior to the FDA, John worked as the Legislative Director for Senator Tom Cotton and as Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson’s Senior Health Policy Advisor. John holds a B.B.A. in Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University.
