Steven Marshall

Steven Marshall is CAB’s Chief Partnerships Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. He began his career at CAB in October 2016 as the Head of Payments and Cash Management and was promoted in May 2017.

Having spent 20 years working in transaction banking and fintech, Steven has particular expertise in emerging and frontier financial markets. His career to date has included leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank and The United Nations Migration Agency. Steven started his career on Barclays Bank’s graduate Leadership Programme, undertaking placements within the Large Corporate Sales and Corporate Debt Recovery teams and had an impressive career at the bank, including being Relationship Director for the Multinational Corporate team.

A University of Glasgow alumnus, Steven studied medical biochemistry and also completed a masters in immunopharmacology at the University of Strathclyde.

Steven is passionate about improving the lives of people around the world by providing access to the resources and services they need to succeed. With that in mind, in his spare time, Steven is a Trustee for United Purpose, a charity focused on taking people beyond aid.
