Lucas Watson

SVP, Go to Market at Cruise

Lucas was born in New York City but has been moving west ever since. Lucas joined Cruise in 2018 as our Chief Marketing Officer and currently leads our Go To Market organization which safely runs our fleet of autonomous vehicles on a daily basis. Many of our market operations currently support the testing and qualification of our technology. In the near future, our Go To Market organization will serve our customers in many cities around the world.

Lucas joined Cruise for the opportunity to make the quality of life we enjoy in cities a better experience. Lucas brings experience scaling brands to maximize the positive change they can drive on a global scale. Prior to Cruise, Lucas was the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Intuit, Inc where he was part of the leadership team that significantly accelerated the company’s growth rate. Before Intuit, Lucas held leadership roles at Google and Procter & Gamble where he was part of the teams that helped make YouTube and Pampers global brands that users trust.

Lucas has a B.A. from Hamilton College and an MBA from Boston College. Lucas also serves on the Board of Directors of W.W. Grainger Inc. and the First Tee of Silicon Valley. Lucas lives in Menlo Park with his wife Suzanne and their four children. Outside of work, Lucas spends his time coaching youth sports, playing golf, and enjoying the summertime beaches of Rhode Island.
