John Nilon

John Nilon is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Manager of Labor Relations - Arbitration & Discipline at CSX since March 2019, where responsibilities include managing a significant volume of internal discipline cases through arbitration. Prior to this role, Nilon was an Associate Attorney at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., focusing on construction law cases from inception to trial, and has also worked as an Assistant State Attorney, successfully trying over 40 cases, including a death penalty case. Nilon began in the legal field as a Judicial Extern at Florida’s First District Court of Appeal, assisting in drafting legal opinions, and has experience as a Teaching Assistant in Legal Writing and Research. Nilon holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Florida Coastal School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State University.
