Andy Crum

Andy Crum is a VP of Engineering at Curology, and has previously worked as a Group Lead & Director of Engineering, Platform at Beam Dental, and as a Director of Engineering at Quartzy. Andy has over 10 years of experience in leading software engineers and developing software used in academic and industry research labs worldwide. At Quartzy, Andy was a member of the executive team reporting directly to the CEO, and they led the engineering organization's performance and roadmap. Andy led a team of over a dozen software engineers (both local and remote) who worked on product and infrastructure. Andy has successfully completed an application-wide redesign project that rearchitected an entire user-facing application in six months, resulting in dramatic improvements in performance and user engagement. Andy has also implemented a streamlined onboarding process, which has resulted in a 3x reduction in engineer ramp-up time.

Andy Crum received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Marketing and Management) from Lander University. Andy then went on to get their Computer Science degree from Clemson University.

They are on a team with Seiji Naganuma - Director of Product Engineering, Will Misslin - Data Engineer, and Tyler Knotek - Engineering Manager, Infrastructure and Security. Their manager is Brian Hough, CTO.
