Niels Crone

Niels Crone has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Niels started their career as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company in 1985, where they worked until 1999. Niels then joined The Nature Conservancy as a COO and served in that role until 1996. Crone also worked as the Director of Risk Management at CapitalOne from 1999 to 2000. Niels then joined GSX (Global Steel Exchange) as the COO from 2000 to 2002. Crone later joined Conservation International, where they held multiple roles including Executive Director, CI Consulting from 2014 to 2016 and Chief Operating Officer from 2002 to 2014. Niels then joined CustomerFirst Renewables as the SVP Business Development from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Crone is working as the Chief Operating Officer at Rare since June 2018.

Niels Crone completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Economics at Copenhagen Business School from 1973 to 1981. Niels then pursued an MBA in Finance at UCLA Anderson School of Management from 1983 to 1985.
