Gabriella Celeste

Gabriella Celeste serves as the Policy Director and Co-Director of the Childhood Studies Program at the Schubert Center for Child Studies since 2009. Gabriella is also a Board member of the Positive Education Program since September 2023 and a DCFS Community Advisory Board Member in Cuyahoga County since February 2020. Previously, Gabriella was a Commissioner at the Office of the Ohio Public Defender until March 2023 and served on the Board of Directors at Magnolia Clubhouse from May 2009 to May 2020. As a consultant from 2008 to 2011, Gabriella collaborated with individuals and organizations focused on social change. Gabriella was the Executive Director of the Alliance of Child Caring Providers from 2005 to 2008 and co-founded the Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana, where efforts concentrated on juvenile justice reform from 1997 to 2004. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, a Public Policy Fellowship from the Coro Foundation, and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Northwestern University.
