Role Overview

We seek a motivated and diligent Penetration Testing Intern to join our red-team engineering unit. Under the guidance of seasoned security analysts, you will assist in executing simulated cyber-attack scenarios to uncover weaknesses in web applications, networks, and cloud infrastructures. This internship offers practical, hands-on experience and a deep dive into real-world security engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior pentesters to plan and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Execute manual and automated penetration tests against target environments.
• Document findings, exploit methodologies, and remediation recommendations in clear, concise reports.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal tooling (e.g., custom scripts, scanners).
• Stay abreast of emerging threats, exploits, and industry best practices.
• Participate in post-engagement debriefings and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Fundamental understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and web technologies.
• Familiarity with common pentesting tools (e.g., Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit).
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions or bug bounty programs.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security paradigms.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles and OWASP Top Ten.
• Certifications such as eJPT, OSCP (in progress or attained).
