Lan Tran

Senior Statistical Programmer at Cytel

Lan Tran has extensive work experience in the field of programming and data analysis.

Lan started their career in 1986 as a Programmer at Mantech Environmental Technology, Inc., where they designed and implemented computer programs for data analysis.

In 1995, they joined PPD as a Database Administrator, managing Oracle and SAS databases and providing support and training. Lan also served as a DBA for Clintrial, offering SQL and RPL support.

From 1999 to 2001, Lan worked at Etrials Inc. as an Oracle/SAS Database Administrator, where they installed and configured Oracle server software and programmed triggers for data validation.

Lan then returned to PPD as a Senior Statistical Programmer Analyst from 2001 to 2009. In this role, they acted as a lead programmer, creating and managing analysis files, tables, listings, and graphs using SAS.

From 2009 to 2014, Lan worked at PAREXEL as a Senior Programmer, coordinating project start-up activities and creating global programs.

Lan then joined PRA Health Sciences in 2014 as a Clinical Programmer, where they acted as a lead programmer, coordinated project budget and timelines, and produced high-quality datasets and tables using efficient programming techniques.

Since 2015, Lan has been working at Cytel as a Senior Statistical Programmer, where they are responsible for production and QC programming of datasets, tables, listings, and figures for clinical trials using SAS software. Lan also integrates data across multiple studies or drug programs.

Throughout their career, Lan has demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and has gained expertise in various programming languages and databases.

From 1983 to 1986, Lan Tran attended Durham Tech Community College, where they earned an A.A.S degree in Business in Computer.
