Vinay Mayya

Vinay Mayya, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist at Cytiva since August 2021, specializing in the development of scalable GMP-compliant self-amplifying RNA manufacturing and purification processes, significantly contributing to COVID-19 related research. Prior to this role, Vinay served as a PhD Candidate at McGill University from September 2013 to May 2021, leading projects in cancer, genomics, and developmental biology while employing various molecular biology techniques. Vinay's research experience also includes a position as a Research Assistant at Max Planck Institutes Tübingen, where the focus was on RNA-binding proteins and their influence on mRNA decay. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McGill University and a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology from Uppsala University.
