Philip Provencher

Philip Provencher, PhD, is a seasoned scientist specializing in process chemistry with a robust background in organic synthesis and analytical chemistry. Currently serving as Scientist II at Cytokinetics since February 2023, Philip previously worked as Scientist I at Codexis, Inc., focusing on small molecule synthesis through enzymatic cascades. Past experiences include synthetic chemistry roles at Lipont Pharmaceuticals, where Philip developed synthesis routes for natural product APIs, and leading a team at Nanozen Inc. on cytotoxic drug exposure solutions. Philip's academic foundation includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Princeton University and a Master's and Bachelor's degree from The University of British Columbia, complemented by research roles and international experience in Germany.
