Matt Cooney

Matt Cooney is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and equity capital markets. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Equity Capital Markets at D.A. Davidson Companies since September 2017, Matt Cooney has also held the roles of Vice President and Investment Banking Associate within the same firm. Prior to this, Matt Cooney worked as a Senior Associate in Investment Banking at B. Riley Securities and gained experience in investment banking and private banking at J.P. Morgan. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Matt Cooney held the rank of Captain and served as an F/A-18D Weapon Systems Officer from May 2003 to August 2012. Educational credentials include an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy.
