Tanner Garrett is the Manager of Individual Giving at Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Tanner has over four years of experience in the field of development and fundraising. Prior to their current position, Tanner was the Development Associate at Utah Shakespeare Festival, where they coordinated the member benefits for over 600 donors, across 9 membership levels. Tanner also gathered and reported compliance documentation for over $120,000 received in grant funding, aided in the writing of multiple grants, and analyzed year-end donation statistics (over 1,900 individual transactions totaling $2.7 million in donated income) to determine giving trends. Tanner also helped to plan and execute three large fundraising events, ensured consistency between the CRM database and the financial reporting system, managed the Festival’s ongoing "Put Your Name On It!" fundraising campaign, worked with a team to plan and execute the year-end fundraising appeal, including content creation, donation management, and donor relations and support, and researched possible fundraising opportunities in the corporate and foundation sector. Prior to their work at Utah Shakespeare Festival, Tanner was the Office Assistant/Mailroom Coordinator at Cushman & Wakefield.
Tanner Garrett has a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University.
