Sofie Zilmer Johansen

Sofie Zilmer Johansen currently serves as the Country Manager for Somalia at the Danish Red Cross since June 2022. Previously, Sofie held the position of Regional Resilience Adviser at the Norwegian Refugee Council from June 2020 to May 2022. Between October 2017 and June 2020, Sofie worked at the Danish Refugee Council as both an Economic Recovery Project Coordinator and Livelihoods & Cash Manager. Sofie's earlier experience includes a role as Durable Solutions Officer at UNHCR from August 2015 to October 2017, Programme Support and Communications Officer at Concern Worldwide from January 2015 to July 2015, and Programme Support Delegate at the Danish Red Cross from January 2014 to December 2014. Sofie's educational background includes a Postgraduate Degree in Agricultural Economics from SOAS University of London, a Master of Arts in African Studies from Københavns Universitet, and a Bachelor of Laws in Law and Human Rights from the University of Essex.
