Michael Gonzales

Michael Gonzales has a long history of professional experience, beginning in 2009 as a Lecturer, Clinical Professor, and IS Architect Advanced Analytics Health Atlas Project at The University of Texas at El Paso. In 2015, they took on the role of Chief Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at Prolifics. In 2022, they became the Senior Vice President of Research and Data Science at Data Sentinel Inc. and in 2021, they returned to The University of Texas at El Paso as an Assistant Professor of Practice and Visiting Assistant Professor. Additionally, since 2009, they have been an Independent Consultant at dss42, LLC.

Michael Gonzales has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information and Decision Science, International Business from The University of Texas at El Paso, which they earned in 2012. Prior to that, they completed post graduate work at Southern Methodist University in 2005. In 1993, they earned a Master's Degree in Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University. Michael also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Market Research from New Mexico State University, which they obtained in 1980. In addition, they hold a number of certifications from IBM, American Mensa, Scrum Alliance, ONLC Training Centers, and DataRobot.
