Chris Cheong

Chris Cheong is the current Contracts Manager at Dataiku. Prior to this, they worked as a Manager, A&R Administration, RCA Records for Sony Music Entertainment from September 2018 to April 2021. Chris was responsible for managing and allocating client budgets, managing onboarding and recording processes for 40+ U.S. and global artists, analyzing artist contracts to ensure compliance, negotiating fees and royalty points for producers and engineers, and spearheading the onboarding process.

From November 2016 to September 2018, Chris worked as an Analyst, A&R Administration, RCA Records for Sony Music Entertainment. In this role, they assisted with the administration of artist recording agreements and related documents such as producer contracts, sideartist contracts, licenses, and union paperwork. Chris also provided analytical support to the A&R team by preparing reports on artist activity and deal terms.

Prior to their work at Sony Music Entertainment, Chris was a Coordinator, Business Affairs at NBCUniversal, Inc. from January 2014 to October 2015. In this role, they were responsible for providing administrative support to the Business Affairs team, including drafting correspondence, maintaining department files, coordinating meetings and travel plans, and processing invoices.

Chris Cheong completed a BSc in Mass Communication from Boston University.
