Jurgen Spaanderman

Jurgen Spaanderman is a seasoned policy advisor at De Nederlandsche Bank, with extensive experience in cash and digital euro strategy, financial market infrastructures, and interbank payment systems. Since joining the bank in 2001, Jurgen has held various senior roles, providing critical board-level advice and contributing to significant projects, including the development of the Eurosystem's interbank payments system. Prior to this, Jurgen worked in telecommunications, managing projects at KPN and developing policies for the OECD. Educational credentials include an MSc in Electrotechnical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, along with advanced programs at several renowned institutions.
