Alex Janssen

Alex Janssen is currently serving as the Coordinator at the Crisis Emergency Shelter for Ukrainian Refugees with De Regenboog Groep and holds a position as a Boardmember for Movies that Matter On Tour Leiden. Additionally, Alex volunteers as a societal guide and language coach at Huize Agnes, an organization supporting undocumented women in Utrecht. Previously, Alex contributed as a volunteer at Fundación Ciudad Refugio in Medellín, focusing on support for migrant women and street dwellers. Alex's work experience includes roles in hospitality and tutoring, complementing an educational background with a Master's in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University and ongoing studies in Philosophical Perspectives on Politics and the Economy at Leiden University. Previous academic achievements include a Bachelor's in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam and a Global Exchange Programme in Political Science at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
