Hanieh Shekarian

Hanieh Shekarian is a project team member at Delft University of Technology, focusing on enhancing the student experience through the Engineer Journey initiative, with a particular emphasis on student dropout rates in the first year of the Bachelor's program. As the coordinator for the Mentorship Programme in the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS), Hanieh is responsible for the development and implementation of mentorship strategies. Additionally, Hanieh serves as an external member of the Board of Examiners at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, contributing to multiple programs within the Creative Media and Information Technology institute. Prior experiences include lecturing in Bioinformatics at Hogeschool Leiden and completing traineeships at DSM and the Center for Neurogenomics & Cognitive Research. Hanieh holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from Hogeschool Leiden.
