Kevin Gaffney

Kevin Gaffney is an experienced IT professional with a solid background in UNIX systems administration and team supervision. Currently serving as Team Supervisor and Senior UNIX Systems Engineer at Delta Dental Ins. since August 2007, Kevin has been instrumental in transitioning the company’s core business tools from a mainframe platform to midrange servers, including planning Delta’s first ServiceGuard cluster. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as a UNIX Administrator at Cisco Systems, where responsibilities included systems administration and facilitating system migrations, and at EDS Group, providing support across various hardware platforms for multiple customers. Kevin's career began in the US Navy, where responsibilities included intelligence specialization aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. Kevin holds a Leadership Essentials Certificate from Cornell University and a diploma in General Studies from Maryvale High School.
