Chris Thorn

Chris Thorn is an experienced digital and customer experience leader with a robust background in various senior roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Interim Director and previously Deputy Director at the Department for Work and Pensions, Chris has led significant digital transformation initiatives, including developing Defra's first AI strategy as Interim Chief Digital Officer. With a strong history at the British Heart Foundation, Chris managed a diverse team of 90, overseeing digital marketing, systems development, and customer services to enhance the organization's impact. Additional roles include key positions at tape.tv, Chameleon, PSINet, Virgin, and The Walt Disney Company, complemented by an MBA from The Open University and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Brighton.
