Rose Turnbull

Rose Turnbull is an experienced geologist and manager currently serving as the Manager of Analytical Data Acquisition at the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety since February 2024. Prior to this role, Rose worked at GNS Science for over thirteen years, progressing from a Postdoctoral Fellow focused on granite formation and its connection to gold deposits in Westland, New Zealand, to a Senior Geologist providing scientific leadership in various geological methods to explore the development of New Zealand's continental crust and mineralization. Rose also served as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Canterbury, teaching various geology courses. Rose obtained a BSc and PhD in Geology from the University of Canterbury between 2002 and 2010.
