Christy Cooper

Christy Cooper has over a decade of experience at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), currently serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy since December 2012. Cooper has held various leadership roles within DOE, including Director of the Office of Business Services Management and Acting Director of the Office of Business Operations, overseeing critical business functions related to advanced vehicle technologies and energy infrastructure. Previous responsibilities included managing a significant research portfolio focused on vehicle technologies and leading the U.S. DRIVE Partnership to foster collaboration between government and industry. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore.
