Javier Guzman

Javier Guzman is an experienced professional in the fields of energy and chemical engineering, currently serving as an Energy and Technology Advisor at ExxonMobil since January 2010, where involvement includes corporate strategic planning focused on energy and economics. With a background in staffing and development within research, as well as actively managing research guidance and valuation, Javier has contributed to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as a member of the Basic Energy Sciences Advisory Committee since January 2021. Prior roles include Catalysis Senior Research Engineer at BP and Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Kansas. Javier holds a postdoctoral degree in Chemistry from ITQ-UPV and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, along with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UAM.
