Jennifer Bumgarner

Jennifer Bumgarner is a seasoned professional in energy policy and strategy, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Strategy at Advanced Energy United since February 2025. Previously, Jennifer held the role of Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy since December 2021. With extensive experience at the Energy Foundation from September 2011 to December 2021 as Senior Regional Director for the Southeast, Jennifer also served as Assistant Secretary for Energy at the North Carolina Department of Commerce and held various positions in the Office of the Governor of North Carolina, including Deputy Policy Director and Policy Advisor. Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Social Policy from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Wake Forest University.
