Nick Carlson

Nick Carlson serves as the Energy Attaché and Office Director at the Department of Energy Office in the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since June 2022. With a strong background in international operations, Nick has held various leadership roles within the U.S. Department of Energy, including Director of the Kazakhstan Office and Deputy Director of the Beijing Office. Previous experience includes leading a large team in the Office of International Operations, managing critical programs such as the elimination of weapons-grade plutonium production, and serving as an Economic Analyst at the U.S. Embassy in the Russian Federation. Nick's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and language training in Russian.
