David Oglesby

David Oglesby is an accomplished professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Renewable Energy Activation and Development at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action since July 2021. In this role, David leads initiatives aimed at achieving a 95% renewable energy transition and net zero goals through the development of sector-wide capabilities and new technologies. Previously, David held various senior positions, including Director of Industry Engagement and Development, Senior Manager roles for Renewable Hydrogen and Emerging Energy Technologies, and Principal Policy Analyst, where significant contributions to Victoria's energy policy and strategic development were made. David's comprehensive experience also includes working across multiple departments to drive energy efficiency, innovation, and the establishment of critical industry frameworks. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Monash University.
