Franziska Limbach

Franziska Limbach is a seasoned professional in the field of scientific library services and information systems, currently serving as the Deputy Head of Unit and Programme Director at the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) since March 2019. Limbach leads the team focused on Scientific Information Services, Digitization, and Indexing, demonstrating expertise in managing and coordinating significant projects in collaboration with national and international partners. Prior experience includes serving as Programme Director at DFG, overseeing boards and committees at Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft, and heading Innovation and Development at ETH Zurich, alongside roles as Programme Officer and as a trainee at Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin. Limbach holds a Dr. phil. in German Literature from the University of Mannheim and a Magistra Artium in Comparative Literature, English Literature, and Political Science from the University of Augsburg, supplemented by an academic experience at the University of Vermont.
