Jane Connolly currently serves as the Ambassador of Ireland to New Zealand at the Department of Foreign Affairs, a position held since April 2019. Previous roles include Principal Officer and First Secretary. Prior to this, Jane Connolly was on secondment at Avolon Aircraft Leasing and served as Consul General at the Consulate General of Ireland in Sydney from August 2014 to August 2018. Earlier experience includes working as First Secretary at the Embassy of Ireland in London and Assistant Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland. Jane Connolly holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Dublin City University and a BA Moderatorship in Ancient History, Archaeology, and Italian from Trinity College Dublin.
