Victor Rogalev

Victor Rogalev is a Senior Software Engineer at Diamond Light Source since February 2021, specializing in the development, testing, maintenance, and support of general data acquisition software, primarily using Java and Eclipse, and collaborating with scientists on various beamlines. Previously, Victor served as a Data Analysis Scientist, focusing on data analysis and visualization of multidimensional spectra with Python and Java tools. With a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Victor's research experience includes postdoctoral positions at the University of Wuerzburg and Paul Scherrer Institut, where investigations encompassed epitaxial semiconductor growth and electronic band structure of advanced materials. Earlier roles included engineering at Samsung Display and research at the Russian Research Center "Kurchatov Institute," with a strong emphasis on electronic structure analysis.
