Lukas Hammerschmidt

Lukas Hammerschmidt currently serves as Chief Drone Officer and Head of Drone Development and Operation at Meteomatics AG, a position held since October 2017, while also contributing as a Board Member of the Drone Industry Association Switzerland since April 2022. Prior experience includes a Research Fellow role at The University of Auckland from August 2016 to August 2017 and a Postdoctoral Fellow position at Victoria University of Wellington from August 2015 to August 2016. Lukas completed a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry at Freie Universität Berlin, where education spanned from a Bachelor of Science in 2008 to a Master of Science in 2010, culminating in a doctorate awarded in 2015.
