Mike McCready

Mike McCready, MSc, serves as Associate Dean at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology's School of Media and Information Technology since September 2024. Mike has been a Board Member of Digital Alberta since May 2023 and is also an Advisory Board Member for the Extended Reality and Immersive Technology category at SXSW since June 2021. Previously, Mike held various positions at Lethbridge Polytechnic, including Industry Liaison and Research Advisor at the START Centre and Instructor in Virtual and Augmented Reality. Mike's career spans several institutions, including NorQuest College, Lethbridge College, Alberta Distance Learning Centre, and Alberta Parks, where expertise in web development, social media strategy, and digital marketing was demonstrated. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Digital Arts from the University of Kent, along with various certificates and diplomas in multimedia production and virtual reality.
