Dr. Darvelle Hutchins

Dr. Darvelle Hutchins serves as the Chief Advancement Officer and Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Strategic Communications at Dillard University since September 2025. In addition, Dr. Hutchins is the Founder and Principal Consultant of The Jamison Agency, established in December 2021 to address disparities between organizational values and lived experiences. Previously, Dr. Hutchins held dual roles as Vice President of Social Impact & Culture for both the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans from July 2022 to September 2025, where responsibilities included developing strategies for meaningful community engagement. Prior roles include Managing Director for Diversity and Inclusion Education at LSU Health Sciences Center and Diversity and Inclusion Strategist at TDS Telecommunications LLC. Dr. Hutchins earned a PhD in Organizational Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia and holds two master's degrees in Organizational Communication and Business Administration, along with a bachelor's degree in Communication and Studies in Leadership from Ottawa University.
