Brandon Smithwood is a seasoned policy expert with extensive experience in renewable energy and legislative advocacy. Currently serving as Senior Director of Policy at Dimension Renewable Energy since June 2019, Brandon previously held the position of Policy Director at the Coalition for Community Solar Access, where significant achievements included leading the successful campaign for a permanent community solar program in New Jersey. Brandon's previous roles include Director of California State Affairs and Manager of California State Affairs at the Solar Energy Industries Association, where critical policy victories were attained in high-stakes regulatory proceedings. Additional experience includes a Senior Manager position at Ceres, Inc., where Brandon developed state policy advocacy strategies, and a role as a Clean Energy Markets Fellow at Conservation Services Group. Brandon holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Environmental Studies from Colby College.
