Digital Infrastructure for Moving Objects

DIMO – [Digital Infrastructure for Moving Objects] connects the physical and digital world to produce useful work. We improve mobility and delivery services today while laying the groundwork for next-generation robotics applications to deploy safely at scale.

Our technology platform combines geospatial data assets and IoT endpoints into simple APIs that can be used by a network of service providers to improve their performance and user experience across a variety of use-cases:

Seamless, contactless deliveries Secure and simple access control and wayfinding Automated parking and vehicle retrieval As a full-stack digital twin platform, we allow owners of space to connect with providers of hardware, software, and services that unlock magical IoT and robotics-powered experiences.

We're founder and customer funded and likely to raise additinal outside capital in 2021.

We’re looking for a creative software engineer with strong fundamentals and practical projects and experience to join the core DIMO team.

Our stack is React Native, Node We build with Azure IoT Hub / Digital Twins.

As a startup, we have a variety of ever-changing needs, from new product features to upgrading our codebase to experimental integrations with new partners. You will contribute to the core product and scale it from demos to millions of users.

-- Build out the backend systems that support all aspects of the DIMO network.

-- Work across the stack, from backend infra, to production deployment and frontend pages.

-- Work with a variety of the most popular and up-and-coming frameworks, such as React Native, Node, Azure IoT Hub, and more.

-- Serve as a cornerstone member of the Digital Infrastructure Inc. team and lead key projects as we scale the engineering organization together.

-- (Occasionally) Work on internal tools to automate processes and streamline operations.

-- Talk directly to partners to identify and fix paint points while having ownership over the products they use every day.

-- Strong knowledge of programming principles.

-- Experience with architectural patterns of complex web applications (e.g., well-designed APIs), modern JavaScript libraries and tooling such as React.

-- Side projects -- we are looking for someone who loves hacking and building and demonstrates that by hacking in their free time. What is your smart home setup like? Have you done any robotics projects before?

-- A growth mindset -- you should be a lifelong learner, hungry to learn new technologies, frameworks, and programming languages.

-- By joining as one of our early team members, there is enormous opportunity ahead for you to have an outsized impact and shape the future of the DIMO network in this role.

-- We expect base salary to be in the $70k - $100k range initially with upward adjustments post-Series A. Benefits include unlimited PTO, health / dental / vision insurance, 401k, and more.

-- A lot of room to grow -- the engineering team will be orders of magnitude larger within a few years, and you’ll be the foundation of that team.

-- Work closely with our founders and CTO to drive strategy and execute key initiatives.

-- The opportunity to change the way that the world thinks about robotics, IoT, and real estate in our cities.

-- You’ll be joining a talented, motivated team in a remote (but connected) work environment.
