Katherine Herleman

Senior Advisor at Disaster Tech

Katherine is a senior environmental scientist at WSP, where she serves state, municipal, and corporate clients seeking to integrate principles climate change adaptation and resiliency into renewable energy project development. Katherine is passionate about harnessing the global renewable energy transition to design more resilient infrastructure.

Katherine previously served at Cornell University, where she implemented staff emergency preparedness training across all of New York’s counties and developed early warning flood communication tools for rural and agricultural stakeholders.

She is a broadly trained geoscientist who develops municipal solutions for the increasingly complex resiliency challenges which must be addressed by local governments, such as future proofing public infrastructure and preparing vulnerable populations for extreme weather events.
