Digital banking and payment company Discover Financial Services(https://theorg.com/org/discover-financial/org-chart] (Discover) has announced that current Vice President and Assistant Controller Shifra Kolsky will take over the role of Senior Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer. Ms. Kolsky assumes the position effective November 2, 2020, and will also serve on Discover’s Management Committee.
Ms. Kolsky has served at Discover since 2009, joining the company from Deloitte & Touche, where she served as an Audit Senior Manager. She had held a number of roles at Discover, helping to drive a range of key initiatives such as making significant accounting and compliance changes and implementing robotic process automation in the company’s finance business.
She is a board member at No Shame On U, a mental health advocacy group, and is a member of Discover’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Council.
Ms. Kolsky replaces outgoing Senior Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer Ed McGrogan, who will retire at the end of 2020 after 12 years with Discover.
