Mahfuz Ahmed

Mahfuz Ahmed is the CEO of DISYS. Prior to this, they were the Sr. Technical Manager at Mobil Oil Corp from January 1995 to January 1998. In this role, they were responsible for supporting user management, file system management, backup and recovery of 700 workstations and 80 servers worldwide. Mahfuz also supported six main divisions of Mobil Oil, including SAP architecture and applications. Furthermore, they supervised and trained junior to mid-level systems administrators.

During their time at Mobil Oil, Ahmed also developed the architecture for Mobil’s proprietary oil trading system. This included the installation of FDDI links and RAID units, backup and disaster recovery strategies, set up of network monitoring tools, and scripts to automate performance analysis of application impact on servers. Mahfuz worked closely with Oracle and Sybase DBAs in installing and upgrading database servers and maintained Sun SPARC and IBM AIX servers. In addition, they designed and developed E-mail software packages using Borland C++ for DOS and Windows SDK for Windows platforms. Mahfuz also developed Project Management and Billing software on MS Visual Basic.

Ahmed programmed and implemented automated test scripts of several in-house packages on MS Test Basic. Mahfuz also implemented User Profile Management for transferring a specific user forms one client of the WAN to another. Lastly, they developed SQL Front-end for Mobil XMAIL group performing statement validity on supervisor-entered queries using an X400 system.

Mahfuz Ahmed has a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from George Mason University. Mahfuz also has a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
