Luc Bigel

Luc Bigel currently serves as a Partner at DLA Piper since November 2017 and also holds the position of Counsel. In addition, Luc is a Board Member of the Consulting Editorial Board at LexisNexis UK since October 2021 and a Lecturer at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, specializing in insurance law, reinsurance, intermediation, and regulatory law since 2016. Previous experience includes positions as Avocat at Gide Loyrette Nouel from 2010 to October 2017, Legal Intern at SCP Bouckaert Ormen Passemard & Sportes in 2010, Praktikant at Gleiss Lutz in 2009, and a Legal Intern at the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC and at Landgericht Wiesbaden in 2008 and 2007, respectively. Educational qualifications consist of an LL.M. in International Business Law from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, a Master 2 in Business Law from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, a Maîtrises/DU in Private Law - Business - Arbitration from Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), and a LLC in European Law and Political Science from Leiden University.
