Leonidas Karystios

Leonidas Karystios is a seasoned professional in the maritime and engineering sectors with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as Regional Business Development & Gas Segment Director at DNV since October 2017, Leonidas previously held various roles at Lloyd's Register from June 2003 to July 2017, including Gas Technology Strategic Market Manager and Senior Project Manager for pioneering projects such as the construction of the first Very Large LPG vessels in China. Leonard's breadth of experience encompasses project management, business development, and surveyor roles across significant ship construction projects, including VLCCs, Suezmax tankers, and LNG carriers. Leonidas initiated a career in the Hellenic Navy and has a solid educational background with both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Newcastle University.
