Adam Michalski

Adam Michalski is a software engineer who currently works for doctorly. Prior to their current position, Adam worked as a lead C# developer for UBS from August 2015 to March 2018. During their time at UBS, Adam worked on two major projects: AMR, which was a solution that enabled UBS to fulfill PRIIPs and MiFID II regulations, and QIS, which was a legacy portfolio analysis and simulation software.

Adam was responsible for gathering and reviewing business requirements for AMR, as well as designing the technical architecture and implementing the solution according to best programming practices. Adam also advised and implemented Scrum methodology within the project, acted as Scrum Master, and established the development environment (issue tracking, version control, build server, quality control, deployment). In addition, Adam mentored and supervised other team members and performed code reviews.

For the QIS project, Adam took ownership of the legacy portfolio analysis and simulation software and created a road-map to move it to a modern architectural pattern and integrate it into the core UBS framework. Adam initiated the migration process, moving the application from business division into IT landscape, aligning with department's regulations and processes. Adam also refactored the existing solution in order to separate business logic away from the UI and reduce maintenance time required for bug fixing and improvements. In addition, they reworked the build process, reducing complexity and dependencies on external tools. Lastly, they enabled the use of build server and introduced methods to allow continuous inspection of code quality.

Mr. Michalski has a Master's degree in Information Technology from Lodz University of Technology and is Cisco Certified Network Associate.
