Fintech startup DoubleCheck has named Bill Amelio as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, effective immediately. Mr. Amelio will lead the company’s operations, with Co-Chief Executive Officer and Founder Joel Schwartz taking responsibility for sales and marketing functions.
"Bill is an accomplished and respected business leader, and we are excited to have him take this critical role," said Mr. Schwartz. "His over three decades of experience leading global and complex businesses will be extremely valuable."
Mr. Amelio comes to DoubleCheck from Avnet, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2016. He has more than 35 years of management and industry experience, and also held leadership positions at CHC Helicopter and Lenovo. Together with his wife, he also founded the non-profit educational organization, Caring for Cambodia.
