Ben Bowman

Ben Bowman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.

In 2022, they joined doxo as the Principal Product Manager, leading the Data Models and Analytics Engineering team. In this role, they act as a liaison between product, business stakeholders, and technology teams, ensuring clear definition and communication of data-related requirements. Ben also establishes a master data management strategy, maintains the doxo data catalog, and supports self-service analytics.

Before joining doxo, Ben worked at Pluralsight from 2017 to 2022. Ben initially served as the Director of Operations Analytics, where they built and led a team of senior analysts to create actionable business intelligence. Ben collaborated with Data Science and Product Experience teams to optimize the operational pipeline and held the organization accountable for critical KPIs. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr. Data Analyst at Pluralsight, developing and implementing predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and optimization models. Ben also mentored teammates and performed survival analysis.

From 2016 to 2017, Ben worked as a Data Scientist at Object Systems International - U.S.A., where they designed and built statistical and data analysis routines for data mining warehouses. Ben manipulated and analyzed usage and productivity data and developed interactive Business Intelligence tools.

At PRA Health Sciences - CRI Lifetree Division, Ben served as a Project Analyst from 2014 to 2016. Ben used Excel and Access to build forecasting models, redesigned revenue reports, and automated milestone revenue forecast.

Prior to their corporate roles, Ben owned and managed Bowman Ventures, LLC from 2010 to 2014. Ben collected rents, acquired and managed rental properties, and managed a real estate portfolio with significant annual GRI and appreciation. Ben also worked as a Real Estate Agent at Equity Real Estate, LLC from 2012 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Ben worked as an Assistant Area Manager at Pinnacle Security from 2009 to 2012 and as a Snowboard Instructor at Grand Targhee Resort in 2004-2005.

Ben Bowman has a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Utah. Ben obtained this degree at an unknown time. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Finance from Brigham Young University - Idaho, starting in 2002 and graduating in 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Ben has completed several courses and programs. Ben obtained a certification in "Implementing a Data Warehouse SQL Server 2019" from LinkedIn in April 2022. Ben also completed a "Programming Foundations: Databases" certification from LinkedIn in March 2022. In January 2021, Ben completed the "Python Programmer Track" from DataCamp. In 2017, they obtained several certifications including "Intermediate Python for Data Science," "Advanced Documents: Interactivity & Joining Datasets" from MicroStrategy, "Correlation and Regression," "Data Scientist with R Track," "Foundations of Inference Course," and "Unsupervised Learning in R" from DataCamp. Additionally, they completed certifications in "Intro To Analytics Reporting" and "Visual Insight" from MicroStrategy in March 2017. Finally, Ben has started but not completed a certification in "Machine Learning Toolbox" from DataCamp, with no specified completion date.
