Despina McLaughlin

Despina McLaughlin, APR, currently serves as the Director of Communications/PR at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, a position held since November 2023. Previously, McLaughlin was the Senior Public Information Officer for Orange County Government from November 2019 to November 2023. With a background in sports journalism, McLaughlin worked as a Sports Reporter/Anchor at News 13 Orlando from February 2012 to November 2019 and as a Marketing Coordinator at Bright House Sports Network from August 2010 to February 2012. Earlier roles include Production Assistant/Stage Manager at FOX Sports and Associate Producer at Ivanhoe Broadcast News, Inc. McLaughlin is pursuing a Master of Arts in Strategic Communications at the University of Central Florida, expected to graduate in 2025, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/Television Broadcast Journalism from the same institution, earned in 2010.
