Monica Martinez

Monica Martinez is a skilled Biochemical Engineer currently serving as a Member Of Technical Staff II at Draper since January 2022. Previously, Monica worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston University's Galagan Lab from October 2020 to February 2022, focusing on screening microbes for protein biosensors and enhancing enzyme screening throughput. Prior experience includes a research assistant role at the University of Miami's Dumont Lab, where Monica engaged in the fabrication and characterization of biomaterial platforms, as well as studies on neural stem and progenitor cells. Additionally, Monica served as a Clinical Information Manager at Envision Physician Services, documenting patient care in emergency medicine, and began research in microtubule dynamics during an undergraduate research assistant position at The College of New Jersey. Monica holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey.
